Dick Cannon has more than 35 years of experience in all aspects of real estate development, including the finance, development, construction and management of real estate projects and enterprises.  Before forming The Cannon Company, he served as President of Cousins Properties Inc. and CFO of the Sea Pines Company. 

Mr. Cannon earned a BA in Economics from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business.  Present and past affiliations include the Urban Land Institute, Financial Executives Institute, the Harvard Club, Atlanta Country Club and Piedmont Driving Club.

Dickson Cannon’s experience includes acquisitions, financing, development, brokerage, and commercial real estate management. He joined The Richard Felker Company in 1987, and then Colliers Cauble (formally Cauble Mortgage Company) as a mortgage broker representing large life insurance companies in 1990. In 1993, he formed Cannon Financial, Inc., specializing in the sale of land and income-producing properties. The Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors named him a top five land broker and a top twenty overall producer in Atlanta in 1995. In 2001, he joined The Staubach Company as an investment sales broker. The following year he formed Quest Realty Advisors, LLC, where he pursued investment advisory services and personal investment opportunities. He joined The Cannon Company in development and acquisition areas in 2004.

Mr. Cannon earned his BA from the University of South Carolina in 1987.

Steve Dieckman has worked in real estate finance and investment for 20 years.  He joined The Cannon Company in 2004. Prior to that, he owned Wesley Capital Investments, acquiring and renovating Woodchase Village Apartments in Marietta, Georgia, a 416-unit, tax-credit property, in a joint venture with Atlanta developer Brencor.  He also was a principal at Watermarke Properties and Julian LeCraw & Company.  Before getting into the development business, he worked 10 years in real estate finance and asset management at GE Capital, and prior to that, was a mortgage broker with Portman Barry and Johnstown Mortgage.

Mr. Dieckman earned his BBA from Georgia State University.
